Picton Bay
Sauvignon
Blanc
In the north-eastern corner of New Zealand’s South Island, Marlborough put New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc on the world wine stage. There is no wine anywhere in the world that tastes like the wine of Marlborough – these are stylish, exciting wines that surprise and delight.
Picton Bay wine comes from the Mount Riley family winery. Dad John started the business; son-in-law Matt makes the wine, daughter Amy sells and markets the business and Mum Lyn helps out with the four grandkids so all of this can happen.
Picton Bay Sauvignon Blanc is a pure expression of Marlborough. It’s fermented in stainless steel so no oaky or buttery characters are present to mask the intensely aromatic aromatics. It’s a wine that’s made in the vineyard.
When it comes to pairing, try to accentuate the herbaceous qualities of the wine with ingredients like parsley and cilantro. A great match with vibrant, somewhat spicy Mexican fare, white meat or shellfish. You simply can’t go wrong here. Climb in.
